The present degree work was developed with the proposal of improving the flow of materials of the microenterprise, Proyectacorp, through the redistribution of the plant. In first place, was done the process modeling in accordance with the activities established to produce the sweaters. In addition, the time was taken of the production process consisting of: Design, laying, cutting, assembly, quality control and packaging, knowing the performance of the same. With the data obtained from the taking of time, you can see a VSM to determine the bottleneck, which was the process of assembly. Plant distribution tools were used to record distances such as the Spaguetti diagram, the exchange method for the knowledge which represents the cost and flow diagrams of materials and people. After knowing the current situation of the company, the factors that will affect the flow of materials, such as the design established, the last time that focused on the distribution of the workshop were determined. Specific changes were developed, such as the relocation of work stations, storage points and the adaptation of the specific places for the materials and tools necessary for the production process. As well as tools like 5 S were applied to improve the work environment inside the workshop. With the established changes, it was possible to reduce 17.2 meter of the distance traveled to complete the manufacturing process of the sweater, increasing in 12 percent the capacity of production. In turn, dollars 4.90 was reduced in the daily cost of material flow, generating a saving of dollars 3263 per year. Regarding the taking of time, 29 minutes were reduced to the total time used to complete the production process. Finally, after the proposed improvements, a total increase in productivity is obtained by 14 percent, improving the flow of materials within the microenterprise. However, there are some points in which the microenterprise must continue working to maintain growth and continuous improvement.en
