Descripción : The problem of forest fires has been a constant threat to the ecosystem of the planet, and its affectation increases during the summer, causing incalculable economic losses. One solution to this problem is a wireless sensor network that is an emerging technology with the ability to send data in real time and in various environmental conditions. The present work proposes the innovation of a forest fire detection system using wireless sensors. The main contribution is the implementation of a web application and sensory nodes that receive environmental information, such as temperature, humidity, presence of smoke, carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon monoxide (CO) and methane (CH4). The project is started by gathering information from previous works such as: “Implementation of the API mode in a network of WSN sensors for the detection of forest fires” by Edison Cadena, to determine what the innovation would be, through phases: the design of the prototype, configuration and programming of the system, and creation of a web application adapted to the needs of the project. All the information is sent wirelessly through sensory devices, this information will be displayed in the desktop web application on a device with Android operating system, so that it can detect a possible warning of forest fires within the programmed parameters. In the design of the site, the statistical reports are displayed in the monitored forest area. To conclude, laboratory and open field tests of the prototype are performed to check the operating status as well as the management of the web application. It is recommended that this project be used by entities responsible for the preservation of the environment, such as the Ministry of the Environment or the Fire Department.
