Patient safety is considered as the reduction to the minimum acceptable risk of unnecessary damage during health care, so it is necessary that the same sea through the control mechanisms that prevent it. Therefore, the objective of the present investigative work was to develop a System of registration and registry of adverse events (SNEAS). To obtain the need for the creation of this Instrument, the adaptation and application of the VENCER-MF questionnaire, validated in the Mexican Social Security Institute, to the students in the Dental Care Center (CAO) - UDLA, was carried out in order to know the frequency of adverse events (AD) and quasifailures that occur in the CAO The results were found in the CAO, there are 13% of adverse events and 42.9% of quasi-failures, with regard to causes of the occurrence of AD, 40% is due to the treatments, the quasi-failures originate mainly in the diagnosis and treatment in 32.4% each. It was concluded that, due to the shortcomings found and exposed in the previous paragraph, it is necessary to strengthen the patient safety policy to correct faults that can lead to injuries by the patient due to adverse events or near-misses. The WHO recommends the need to emphasize the communication of adverse events and quasi-failures to improve patient safety and thus transform the culture of culture into a culture of learning, where mistakes are considered as opportunities for improvement. Therefore, the final product of this research was the SNEAS, to strengthen the care of patients who receive information about AD, its causes, incidence, specialties in which it is notified to create mechanisms that reduce its frequency.en
