The importance of the condyle-fossa relation is still unclear, some authors associate that the posterior position of the condyle is related to patients who have temporomandibular disorders. The objective of this study was to determine the clinical-radiological relationship of temporomandibular disorders by orthopantomography, in adult patients who attend the dentistry clinic of the University of the Americas in the period 2018-1. 42 patients between 21 to 55 years were part of the study. Each participant underwent a clinical examination to determine the symptoms and signs of temporomandibular disorders and a radiographic examination in which the vertical and anteroposterior space was measured using the Cohlmia technique modified by Dr. Pedro Peñon. The results obtained showed that there was a slight predominance of the female sex compared to the male sex. According to age, the group aged 21 to 30 years was higher, followed by the group of 51 to 55 years, the prevalence of signs and symptoms was predominant for females, and in patients aged 21 to 30 years, clinical and radiographic correlation was found. the increase in the anterior and superior joint space in patients with signs and symptoms of temporomandibular disorders contrary to what happened in patients with limited mouth opening in which there was a previous condylar position and finally in partial and total edentulous patients there is an alteration in the joint space, with greater vertical and anteroposterior distance.en
