dc.descriptionObjective: to determine the prevalence of periodontal disease to establish a level of health or disease using clinical examinations such as periodontal probing using the PSR (Periodontal Screening and Recording). Materials and methods: This study was conducted in the province of Pichincha, at the Clinic of the University of the Americas, the sample was drawn up with a total of 25 participants through the use of the clinical history established by the dental faculty at patient civil servants who work in the Columbus headquarters of the University of the Americas. The present investigation is of transversal descriptive observational type. It is an observational study since it will determine the level of insertion through the PSR, establishing the diagnosis of health or periodontal disease and is a cross-sectional study since it will be done by means of data collection in a short period of time. Results: The sample consists of 37.5% of male sta_ and 62.5% of female sta_, of those evaluated, 12.5% have health, 58.3% have gingivitis and 29.2% have periodontitis. Male: 11.1% have health, 55.6 have gingivitis and 33.3% have periodontitis. Female: 13.3% have health, 60.0 have gingivitis and 26.7% have periodontitis. Conclusions: Of the total of parts in the evaluated (144), the most a_ected are the piece 11 is presented in 10.4% of the sample, piece 16 in 13.9%, piece 26 in 10.4 %, piece 31 in 11.8%, piece 36 in 11.8% and piece 46 in 11.8% of the samples. Recommendations: Have a better oral health plan with o_cials of the administrative work environment, such as implementing diagnostic and control appointments to monitor their status. Regular appointments should be coordinated to maintain an optimal state of the faculty workers and in the case of having periodontitis assign them to an appropriate treatment plan.en
