During the last years the exponential growth of access to all types of information at any time, telephone calls and telepresence have led to the development of new standards of wireless technologies worldwide that, through their versatility, increase productivity, reduce costs and Optimize execution times in services and institutional processes. In this context, the IEEE approved the 804.11b standard as the fastest wireless family of standards for local networks in 2014. The present work aims to design a wireless network for data transmission, video and VoIP, applying the 802.11ac standard, guaranteeing the connectivity and bandwidth adequate to all wireless devices of “Ministry of Sports”. To accomplish this design, this document is divided into five main titles, in an introductory way, the theoretical aspects of wireless technologies are described, focusing mainly on LAN (local area) networks. The different publications on the 802.11 standard and a more detailed description of the 802.11ac. The second chapter seeks to demonstrate the need to create a new design based on the problems encountered with the architectural survey network topologies and diagrams in general, information that should have been raised for the creation of this work. Speed tests and coverage of the wireless network are carried out, finally, the main problems of the Ministry of Sports network are summarized For the third chapter based on the deficiencies found, the wireless design is created, the physical location of the devices, calculation of the minimum speed requirement that must be delivered to each connected device, the planning of channels and coverage, IP addressing, minimum requirements of the equipment and essential security configurations ending a simulation in order to evaluate a team that works with the 802.11ac standard, in the same way speed and channeling tests are carried out. The fourth chapter is focused on the analysis of design costs, comparing two leading brands in the wireless network (LAN) market. Finally, in the fifth title all the conclusions and recommendations that follows from the present work are presented.en
