Descripción : The study was conducted in the province of Pichincha in the Atacazo paramo with an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level and an average temperature of 11,6 degrees Celsius. With the objective of evaluating the phenological stages of the reproductive part of the mortiño (Vaccinium floribundum Kunth), based on the BBCH international scale. The mortiño is an Andean fruit that has not been domesticated in our country, its growth is wild and for this reason it is affected by the expansion of the agricultural frontier, bad practices in the harvest and environmental factors affecting the development of the plant. It was considered 11 plants of mortiño presenting several phenological phases for the present study in situ. The data was obtained during the months of May to October, making a weekly follow-up in all its stages of growth, by means of registers with field book, photographs allowing registering both qualitative and quantitative characteristics for the elaboration of the BBCH scale. This describes the growth description with its respective 3-digit coding, indicating its main, secondary and number of reproductive cycles that the plant has in the year. Within the quantitative characteristics, descriptive statistics (average, variance, standard deviation, coefficient of variation) were made to determine polar and equatorial diameter, time (weeks) of growth, thermal units; values that allowed to realize graphs that show the total time in development of the reproductive stages and temperaturerelative humidity that existed during the months of the investigation. Giving the mortiño a total time of growth of 150,8 days in the reproductive stage that helped determine that in the year two harvest cycles are obtained
