| dc.description | The project explained in this thesis consist in the design of a public library and a cultural center located in the old León Theater of Riobamba city. The address of this theater is Av. Primera Constituyente and España. The building has four floors, on the top, it has a dome that shows and indicates the presence of a neoclassic style. The area of this edification is 9.840,56m2, the intervention in this project will be only in the third floor that cover an area of . The main objective of the project is to propose an interior design for a public library with a cultural center in Riobamba, rehabilitating this emblematic building of and for the city, with the objective of proposing ergonomic, aesthetic, functional spaces and recovering the history and architecture of the old León Theater. In addition, the project contains different spaces to promote the investigation either as an individual or as a group. | dc.description.abstract | Diseño de una Biblioteca pública y centro cultural en el antiguo Teatro León en la ciudad de Riobamba ubicado en las calles Av. Primera Constituyente y España, la edificación cuenta con cuatro pisos y una cúpula en su parte superior, tiene un metraje de 9.804,56m2 se intervendrá en el tercer piso con 790,34m2. La edificación tiene un estilo neoclásico. El objetivo principal del proyecto es diseñar una propuesta interiorista de una biblioteca pública con un centro cultural en Riobamba, rehabilitando este edificio emblemático para la ciudad, con la finalidad de plantear espacios ergonómicos, estéticos, funcionales y recuperar la historia y arquitectura del antiguo Teatro León. Además, el proyecto consta con diferentes espacios para la realización de trabajos de investigación de manera colectivos e individuales como; cubículos grupales e individuales, áreas de lectura, mesas de trabajo, espacios de lectura, entre otras cosas. | es_ES |
