| Descripción : | This project examines an Ecuadorian construction company, Megabuilder S.A. productive line design for manufacturing 42 square meter low cost family houses. The first stage of the project discusses the company in its current state by presenting internal audit results, and company records/files offered. The second stage has the following objectives: design the production line through process management, optimize resources for a specific demand, identify internal and external factors that influence the productive process, propose a more efficient plant design of better quality, reduce production times, and eliminate downtime. To satisfy these objectives it will be necessary to use various tools in which this project is based on, including VSM (Value Stream Map), flow analysis, activity relationship diagram, Kanban, Lean tools in general, and the use of software including Flexim and Factory design for production simulations and production line design respectively. The project also includes a financial analysis of costs that the project would generate and its profitability based on the established demand. Therefore, the report can be finalized by exposing the achievements made in the design of the production line and the positive or negative consequences of carrying out the design. |
