Descripción : One of the most common disorders in the workplace is cervical pain known as pain in the cervical spine and may be a result of poor postural hygiene, physical and emotional stress that negatively affects the workplace. One of the main origins of cervicalgia is mechanical and is caused by maintaining an inadequate posture or carrying weight statically on the head and / or upper limbs. Therefore, a physiotherapeutic treatment protocol is proposed, which consists of suboccipital elongation and strengthening of the deep muscles of the neck. Objective: To evaluate the effect of neck muscles strengthening exercises and the passive extension of suboccipitals in comparison with active phases in workers with chronic mechanical neck pain. Materials and methods: Ten people, between 29 and 52 years old, of female gender in various administrative areas of a company of supplies for the food industry that present mechanical neck pain caused by work activities. They participated in this study. The participants were randomly aligned in two groups of 5 people each: group 1 (GPA), followed by a protocol for treatment of traditional cervical cells, while in group 2 (GTM) a protocol of physiotherapeutic treatment of strengthening and lengthening of different muscle groups was applied in order to alleviate cervicalgia symptoms. In these groups, three parameters were evaluated: pain due to an anonymous visual scale, cervical disability index by Neck Disability Index and finally patient satisfaction by CSQ-8...
