Descripción : The objective of the project is to determine the social and economic viability of a mental and physical training center for professional and amateur athletes in Quito, Ecuador. The research started with a background analysis, such as the PEST analysis and the PORTER forces, providing a context for the real gym industry (R9311.02). In addition, qualitative methods (interviews with experts, focus group) and quantitative methods (surveys) were used to determine the needs and behavior of the target market. After the previous analysis, we found a market opportunity based on the lack of a complete training in the sports market, and the importance that athletes pose to mental training. Given the need of the athlete to maintain mental training as well as physical, originates the training center “Improve Sport Tech”. The center offers a variety of advanced techniques such as “Tapping”, Neurolinguistic Programming, “Fulmindness” and physical cognitive exercises, in order to free the athlete from mental limitations and reach new frontiers. Being a totally innovative service in the ecuadorian market, a general strategy of differentiation marketing is proposed. In addition, strategies for the marketing mix are proposed, which include promotion, distribution channel, etc. Regarding the organizational structure, the industry was analyzed and an organizational chart and its operation was determined to provide the best service possible. Finally, a financial analysis was carried out which showed through financial indicators of leverage, activity, liquidity and profitability that the business is totally viable. In conclusion, the ecuadorian market of gymnasiums has been growing gradually during the last decade; However, there is business opportunity given by the lack of offer of services that offer comprehensive training with physical-cognitive techniques for the total development of the athlete.
