Resumen : La cultura ecuatoriana tiene variedad de instrumentos musicales. Es por esto que este proyecto se ha centrado en la investigación y desarrollo de un instrumento musical interactivo para niños. Esto servirá de herramienta para aprender a interpretarlo y sobre todo para conocer más de la cultura musical ecuatoriana. El instrumento musical llamado Marimba, ha mantenido su característica esencial que es la madera, pero tiene cambios de diseño para que sea más atractivo a los niños. Consta de 8 botones con sus respectivos LEDs, los cuales representan cada nota musical. Las luces son activadas cuando son presionados los botones o al iniciar el instrumento interactivo. Estos botones son los que enviarán la señal a través de conexiones y cables hacia el Arduino y luego hacia Processing. Además que tiene una pantalla llamativa que ayudará a los niños a leer las instrucciones del instrumento musical y sus propiedades. El proyecto va dirigido hacia niños, pues se fomentará el interés hacia los instrumentos musicales que tiene el Ecuador y sobre todo a una identidad cultural y musical.
Descripción : Within the Ecuadorian culture there are a variety of musical instruments. That is why this project has focused on the research and development of an interactive musical instrument for children. These will serve as a tool to learn to interpret it and above all to understand more about the Ecuadorian musical culture. The musical instrument called Marimba, has maintained its essential characteristic that is wood, but has design changes to make it more attractive to children. It consists of 8 buttons with their respective set of LED lights, which represent each musical note. The lights are activated when the buttons are pressed or when the interactive instrument is started. These buttons are the ones that will send the signal through connections and cables to the Arduino and then to Processing. In addition it has a striking screen that will help children to read the instructions of the musical instrument and its properties. The project is aimed at children, as it will promote interest in the musical instruments that Ecuador has and especially a cultural and musical identity.
