Resumen : Este trabajo de investigación periodística se basa en analizar la situación actual del acoso sexual a la mujer en el Ecuador, las regulaciones que se han dado de este tema por parte del Estado y actores sociales. A través de este trabajo se evidenciará de manera principal los tipos de acoso sexual que se presentan en país, y las falencias en el sistema de protección a la víctima. Se realizaron entrevistas a asambleístas, miembros de la defensoría pública y unidad de víctima, concejala, mujeres víctimas de acoso sexual en diferentes espacios tanto públicos como privadas y activistas por los derechos de la mujer. La investigación cuenta además con cifras de violencia en el país, los lugares donde una mujer puede realizar una denuncia en las provincias con mayor índice de violencia, etc. Este trabajo periodístico se basó también en visibilizar al acoso sexual como una de las primeras muestras de agresión sexual hacia la mujer, y que si no se lo previene a tiempo puede llegar a desencadenar otro tipo de violencias hasta femicidios.
Descripción : This journalistic research work is based on analyzing the current situation of sexual harassment of women in Ecuador, the regulations that have been issued on this issue by the State and social actors. Through this work, will be evidenced in a main way the types of sexual harassment that occur in the country, and the flaws in the victim protection system. Interviews were carried out with members of the assembly, members of the public defender office and victim unit, councilor, women victims of sexual harassment in different spaces (public and private), and activists for women rights. The investigation also has figures of violence in the country, places where a woman can make a complaint in the provinces with the highest rate of violence, etc. This journalistic work was also based on making sexual harassment visible as one of the first signs of sexual aggression against women, and if it is not prevented in time it can lead to another type of violence to femicide.
