| Descripción : | The pulpar pathologies are the urgencies mainly treated in the dental attendance due to the acute symptomatology. Aims: To determine the prevalence of pulpal and periapical pathologies in patients who have had endodontic treatment at the Centro de “Atención Odontológica” -CAO- UDLA, from March to July 2017. Material and methods: Descriptive, observational, cross-sectional and retrospective study. The CAO medical records files of the patients seen in the months of March to July 2017 was reviewed, obtaining 180 medical records. Descriptive statistics were performed in the SPSS statistical program, and the Chi square test with a significance of 0.05 was applied. Result and conclusions: The most prevalent pulp pathology is the irreversible pulpitis, of the periapical lesions is the chronic apical periodontitis. The most attended gender is female, in the age group of 18-34 years. |
