| Descripción : | The present study aims to perform a noise evaluation at the residential area of San Rafael located in Rumiñahui canton, in that place the existence of a negative environmental impact for the inhabitants was assessed. It was planned to carry out a methodology for a quantitative and qualitative evaluation so that to be able to estimate the perception of annoyance and the levels of environmental noise to which the residents of the sector are exposed. For this purpose surveys were designed and carried out in the mentioned area. Noise measurements were also taken to obtain the A-weighted Equivalent Sound Pressure Level (LAeq), Percentile Level L90 and L10, Traffic Noise Index (TNI). It is intended that the results obtained could identify the environmental or social factors that most affect and disturb residents, sources of noise that are considered more affectionate, perception of the annoyance produced by environmental noise, noise levels that are analyzable and comparable with international regulations. |
