| dc.description | This qualification work represents a proposal to improve, under the Kaizen methodoly, the Game Confecciones business, located at the Centro – Sur of the city of Quito, Pichincha. Game Confecciones is a business dedicated to the manufacturing, merchandising and distribution of clothing. It was initiated by obtaining the current business status, where based on evidence, it is an organization managed by hierarchies and not by process where general balances demonstrate that the most sold product are round neck Plain T-Shirts which represent 55 percent of sales. Through observations and interviews, it was determined that the production time of one round neck Plain T-Shirt is of 8,93 minutes. However, through elimination of tasks that do not provide value, line balance, relocation of work tables, demolition of an unnecessary wall, an analysis of the distance ran to perform the product and the hire process of one more person can reduce time down to 6,53 minutes, which represents an improvement of 24 percent. This proposal also includes a diagram of operations, a process chart, a value flow map of the current process and it considers the risk that operators are exposed to, including exit routes in case of an emergency and a map showing the elements against fires. Without the proper group work from the Kaizen team structure, no ideas would have emerged at the moment of functionality, however, the simulator probes very clearly the improvements and shows where in the process the assembly of the bottle neck is eliminated. This proposal generate results to cost reductions, time reduction, distance reduction ran by the manufacture of the round neck Plan T-Shirts and the elimination of unnecessary tasks and it concludes that the Kaizen methodology influence in a positive way the production of the Game Confecciones building | en |
