Descripción : The model of determinations or effective test in the Clinical Laboratory is a system that is still in the phase of implementation in the country, the main benefit is its profitability because it decreases its costs of production, since the institution only cancels the value of the test Correct therefore it does not assume expenses of repetitions, calibrations or controls. The purpose of this research is to make clear and effective Terms of Reference (TDR) for the contracting of the service, complying with the requirements for medium and high complexity laboratories, as well as requesting high standards of management and equipment to commercial houses without losing interest. To perform the study, we analyzed third-level hospitals and districts with coverage greater than 300,000 inhabitants, obtaining a sample of 44 institutions that were surveyed with administrative and technical variables. The analysis showed that there are weak and high impact variables to perform TDR, the most important being the number of patients being treated since according to this value a manual, semi-automated or automated equipment must be requested to perform high or low exams Rotation, to avoid waste of reagents or consumables and to obtain better benefits of the commercial house. It is also evident that the contracting time in the reverse auction case is critical for the delay. The best benefit is the greater amount of statistical information that is obtained being a great tool laboratory software, to request inputs, devices and reagents in a timely and accurate manner.
