| Descripción : | Objective: Analyze the efficacy of Cyriax vs Therapeutic Ultrasound in the treatment of patellar tendinopathy in soccer players. Materials and methods: Athletes will be recruited from the UDLA SPORTS CLUB (UDLA CD) soccer team from the University of the Americas. A sample of 10 players was taken; the sample was divided into two groups. The first group consisted of 5 soccer players with patellar tendinopathy, who were given ultrasound and eccentric exercises. The second group consisted of 5 soccer players with patellar tendinopathy, who received Cyriax massage and eccentric exercises. A hot pack was applied for 20 minutes to the two groups before the treatment, and ice was applied to the tendon area for 5-8 minutes at the end of each treatment session. The variables assessed in the two groups at the beginning and at the end of the treatment were knee function through Visa-p questionnaire, pain using algometry and range of motion measured with goniometry… ver archivo adjunto |
