Descripción : The city of Quito has veterinary institutions that have taken the lead in the search for solutions to the dog overpopulation, which in addition to affect the aesthetics of the Metropolitan District also is a health issue published. Ovarian hysterectomy and Orchidectomy, are the method of choice for the problem, giving a surgical solution that has increased its demand from owners of animals entails updating knowledge not only about the surgery, but other aspects as important as the anaesthetic management. Based on the above arguments is born the motivation to create a guide of perioperative anesthetic management for dogs of the DMQ. The guide is formed from systematic review of literature using the methodology Prism for bibliographic sources reliable and relevant. In the instance of evaluation practices was conducted physiological constants take a total Group of 28 dogs between males and females, which were subdivided into Group Guide (14 dogs) and group control (14 dogs), data was tabulated and analyzed by T - test T test for paired data and T test for unparied data for determination of P value 0.05 and thus achieve a determination of significance and validation of hypothesis , obtaining positive results that corroborated with what was observed in patients where is established the guide which aims to propose strategies for get better conditions for canine population control programs.
