Descripción : There is an undoubted global trend toward the body care through healthy eating and constant physical training; in Ecuador every day are more those who join this trend demonstrated by the increase in athletes and subscriptions to gyms especially in the city of Quito. This growing market and the recent signing of the free trade agreement with the European Union are a great opportunity for the present business plan that analyzes the commercial and financial viability of the import of nutritional supplements for athletes from Spain to sell them as instant nutritional shakes through automatic machines installed in four of Quito most exclusive gyms. The market research of this project found that 64 porcent of Quito athletes attending to gyms consume isolated protein, pre-work, BCAA, glutamine and - or creatine and 34porcent do not consume them because of their high price or because they have not had the opportunity. Nutritionists recommend that the consumption of these nutritional supplements be 30 minutes before or after training to get all of their benefits. In order to capture a large part of the market share, a strategy of identification and differentiation is necessary, for which a direct marketing budget of US porcent 750 per month is assigned to carry out brand activations, promotions and sponsorships, as well as a strategy of introductory prices, this means, to be the most convenient option of the market so that the athlete finds the benefit in time, cost and quality to acquire a shake at the machine. With an investment of USD 57,112.40, a direct distribution canal and a small organizational chart composed of only 3 servers, we guarantee the profitability of this business with a Net Present Value of USD 39,870.58, an Internal Rate of Return of 34.91 porcent and a Profitability Index of 1.70, recovering this investment in 2.74 years.
