The impact of transport can represent 20% of the total cost of the good or service, provide by the company, and it is not common for a small and medium enterprises to know the magnitude of the cost. Therefore, the idea of optimizing dispatch routes in a company with a center distribution was presented, through the contribution of operational research and its premise of the use of mathematical methods for solving problems. Chapter 1 contains the theoretical basis for solving the problem; chapter 2 describes the company and the current state of the distribution to the point of sales; chapter 3, outlines the information required by the routing software to give the solutions. To start, the demand for the points of sale was forecast and the validity of the forecasting method was verified by measuring its error; the costs associated to the transportation process were calculated. Then, restrictions were specified for the type of transport problem, VRP, in terms of time windows and vehicle capacity. After determining the mathematical resolution algorithms, the software which count with them was founded, and the software gave the routes. Both mathematical algorithms, provided circumstantial improvements, however, one of those analyzed had the highest percentage reduction in the anual transport costs, the distance traveled by the vehicle and the cost per kilometer. In addition to reducing the indicators, with this solution, the option of receiving additional economic returns to the company is presented.en
