dc.descriptionMorbidity and absenteeism rates are on the rise, musculoskeletal problems and a working environment in conflict led company INTCOMEX ECUADOR S.A. to follow thought an ergonomic evaluation for workers in jobsites who use Display Screen Equipment (DSE); and so, the goal of the project is to improve the health and safety of workers on their labor environment. For this purpose, it will be assessed to the entire population of the Company considered as a DSE related user, the same that is composed of 70 individuals belonging to 32 different jobsites. In this research is been selected the method of assessment to analyze Self- Assessment Display Screen Equipment Test, Royal Decree 488-1997. The method includes the evaluation of 5 elements of the test; where results were obtained in each one of them, registering the highest number of nonconformities due to the use of display of equipment of screen in 4 of the 5 elements. In descending order these ones are Computer Equipment, Work Management, Furnishings and Working Environment. This assessment concludes that there is ergonomic risk in the studied population, due to the use of display of equipment of screen, so it is recommended to take the preventive measures to improve and develop these practices, which are suggested in the proposal of the research. INTCOMEX ECUADOR S.A. makes this study in its baseline for subsequent researches.en
