Descripción : The Ambassador Hotel, also called Embajador, located in the city of Quito at 9 de Octubre Avenue and Colon Avenue, is the establishment that has been fictitiously redesigned with an interiorist aspect, because of its failures in hotel industry, architectural, ergonomic areas and design, has allowed a broad performance in terms of its proposal to bring it from the Neo Colonial era to an Urban Hotel for the client / guest of today. The Hotel, having been built in 1930 and being one of the first hotels in the city of Quito, has a state of Cultural Heritage E, which allows it to intervene without having to touch its covering, structure, exterior areas and details of the interior design. If decided to intervene, it should be only done to favor the construction and its typology. Along with Architectural, Patrimonial and Hotel regulations, referents on redesigns on existing hotels, interviews with people related to restorations, interviews with the public and interviews with the same guests who frequent the hotel for more than 40 years, is what gave life to the Architectural Party. Analyzing the hotel physically, inspecting every corner, structures, facilities, finishes and furnishings, to proceed with a list of what should be maintained, modified or overthrown. Followed by an analysis of areas and zones that a hotel must obligatorily have, on the other hand adapt the current patrimonial and hotel requirements along with the current state of the Hotel. Once the definition of zones and areas was achieved, the interior design proposal was carried out, one of the most significant changes of the Hotel is its staircase located in the main entrance. The staircase was not in accordance to regulations and caused mobilization problems to the guests and users of the Hotel. On the other hand changes of design, closing some windows that were in interior corridors of the hotel since over 86 years due to do some additions to obtain more rooms. The contributions obtain from the interviews realized that the windows had to be closed and when being added can be removed according to patrimonial norms. Having the interior design proposal, it has adapted a concept, in a subtle way, since the heritage regulations do not allow big changes or extravagant designs. The hotel has a peculiarity most of the rooms are decorated with paintings by Oswaldo Guayasamín, paintings that were part of the concept. They will be located in the proposed gallery lobby. The hotel has 38 Rooms, 10 less than the current hotel, since they did not comply with hotel regulations of rooms, among them are Suites, Double, Single and Marital. There is cafeteria service, a meeting room, bars, a gym, which was only modified in space, size and ergonomics. New lounge areas (wifi), mini cinema, games room (not of gambling), mini golf, which were the results of surveys conducted to the same guests.
