Resumen : Este trabajo de investigación presenta el proceso de diseño e implementación de un subkick con encierro hexagonal, basado en modelos comerciales como el SKRM 100 de Yamaha...
Descripción : The current research shows the design and the implementation process of a subkick with hexagonal enclosure based on commercial models like SKRM-100 of Yamaha. A previous investigation has been done about the most used drum microphones Because of the information founded in this research, such as, the selective filtration characteristics that some kick microphones do not have, so, we look for cheap elements to make it affordable and also functional. This prototype was built on kick’s fundamental frequencies, so it was done on 3 stages for its signal processing and each stage has its own “bypass”, so, in this way, it will handle the entrance signal and deliver a mix with a full feeling sensation without needing any peripheral processing. The subkick was planned to capture any instrument low frequencies, but it is specially designed to capture the kicks sound without any accompaniment, but in this case, because of the short speaker frequency range it will be better to do it with accompaniment. The other stages allow the process of lower amplitude signals, this one added to the original entrance signal give that complete full filling and heavy sensation to the kick sound. The Hexakick it’s a closed box made out of wood wich has a speaker with a hexagonal robust bodied, enclosure to a stand for fixing. It let us design it in a very original shape and at the same time it has a circuit that allows the low frequency signals to process.
