Descripción : The following titling project presents the implementation of a home automation system, which has been designed for the use of people with visual impairment to provide assistance, comfort and security within the homes of people who have this type of disability. In addition, it tries to minimize the cost of the system for the user. The system consists of three fundamental parts, an application for mobile devices, a voice recognition web service developed in Java, and a reduced-board computer called: Raspberry Pi that will serve as an actuator of the devices in the user's home. The application receives voice messages from the user, which are sent to the speech recognition web service through SOAP protocol, where they are processed, obtaining back in the mobile device a text message, which is sent again through TCP- P protocol to Raspberry Pi so that it executes the commands requested by the user. The system has good recognition accuracy in the commands for which it has been adapted, and has a good response speed. Thanks to the free voice recognition in the web service, the application will have no cost to the customer and taking into consideration the low cost of Raspberry Pi, it achieves that the system was economically accessible to the user.
