| Descripción : | About ten years ago the UNAIDS recognized Young people as a population group in a state of growing vulnerability to HIV (HIV) in Latin America. In 2010 the World Health Organization named HIV / AIDS as a disease of young people, with about 6,000 of them are infected daily around the world (UNAIDS and WHO, 2010, p. 32). Despite the imaginary and social stereotypes that suggest women and homosexual men and sex workers as the most likely to contract HIV / AIDS groups, the data published by the Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador show that the highest percentage of people with HIV / AIDS is young heterosexual formed. This research focuses on analyzing the official discourse on HIV at the local level and analyzes its relationship with the imaginary with this virus university young people of different socioeconomic classes. Through a methodology of joint research were identified and analyzed the speeches of the organizations involved in the management and prevention of HIV / AIDS in Quito: Ecuador Equity Foundation, Ecuadorian Red Cross and the Ministry of Public Health, through the perspective of their spokespersons, communication strategies and campaigns. In addition, an approach was made to young people from three universities in Quito to meet their imaginary and speeches on this virus. |
