dc.descriptionThis article aims to expose and analyze, in what way, the governments are based around certain notions of security, in order to legitimize their internal or external acts. Regarding the topic, there is a deep theoretical debate concerning the existing that they include in the concept on Security and its ramifications, including National Security Issues. In order to have a foundation of the above, two specific cases were analyzed: Cases of deportation of Colombian citizens on the Venezuelan border and the bombing of the Colombian Armed Forces in Angostura-Ecuador 2008. It was found that some governments have remained with the need for protection under a securitizing and clearly defensive / offensive approach. Moreover, it was evident that some governments apply different notions of security or they appeal to some types of need on security, to justify certain actions that are not always framed in Law.en
