| Descripción : | This research analyzes the current government period headed by Rafael Correa, from 2008 to 2014, based on a series of measures proposed to analyze the quality of governance. This analysis is based on a bibliographical review of concepts related to governance and democracy. Based on this introduction, it is taken in the theoretical framework proposed by Morlino to analyze some indicators related to democracy but applicable to analyze governance. Using a series of sources of information, such as the World Governance Indicators (where information on the dimensions chosen to analyze governance is found periodically and by country), an attempt will be made to analyze the quality of governance. In this sense, a bibliographic review has been developed that recognizes studies on the expansion and consolidation of democracy in Latin America, studies related to the notion of governance and research on the quality of democracy, with the respective development of data indices on Dimensions that are interrelated. The study shows that in the Ecuadorian case, the government presents a series of deficiencies in the quality of the governance, reflected in the obtained figures. The current national conjuncture, being a stage where another government is passed, it is imperative that they start an effort that is to evaluate the quality of this government, so that the increase of this research work. The importance of it is that it can serve as a preliminary work for future research that assesses more deeply the aspect of governance. |
