| Descripción : | The present paper analyzes whether the final consumption expenditure of households has positively affected the profitability of Banks with greater participation of the Ecuadorian financial system in the period 2005-2015. There are three particular focus areas to be considered. First of all, the theoretical importance and functions of the financial system, Credit, credit discrimination, types of credit and consumer credit, Profitability and factors affecting profitability. Second, study the behavior of economic growth, household final consumption expenditure, profitability and factors affecting profitability along with the evolution and effects of policies implemented on variables that affect the profitability of banks Studied. Third, a panel data model was developed with information obtained from the Central Bank of Ecuador and the institution which regulates the financial system in Ecuador for the period 2005-2015. |
