ART, is created with the aim of adopting a place rehabilitation of Ecuadorian culture icon, and while rescuing the most important aspects of culture, tradition and its artistic expressions. The old San Gabriel High School is located in the heart of the city of Quito, a half block from the Plaza Grande, on the street Benalcázar 562 between Sucre and Mirror avenues, behind the Metropolitan Cultural Center.en
dc.description.abstractEste trabajo nace frente a la necesidad de salvaguardar el Patrimonio Cultural del Ecuador y a la vez de satisfacer las necesidades de nuestros usuarios, después de un extenso estudio e investigación se da como resultado la creación de ARTE Centro de Desarrollo de Arte Contemporáneo” . ARTE, es creado con el objetivo de adoptar a la rehabilitación de un lugar icono de la cultura ecuatoriana, y a la vez rescatar los aspectos más importantes de la cultura, de la tradición y de sus manifestaciones artísticas. El antiguo Colegio San Gabriel se encuentra ubicado en pleno centro de la ciudad de Quito, a media cuadra de la Plaza Grande, en la calle Benalcázar 562 entre las avenidas Sucre y Espejo, tras el Centro Cultural Metropolitano.es_ES
