The safety of the patients is a key point in the management of their hospital stay, that is why this project of titulation is projected in the safety with respect to the risk of falls of the patients, for which it is considered necessary in the first place to know the risk of patients suffering a fall. To later carry out the elaboration of a protocol to prevent falls in the hospitalization area of the hospital ``Padre Carollo. `` Un Canto a la Vida´´´´, as well as the respective implentation of a certain identification that allows to qualify the patients in low, medium and high risk. To carry out the collection of data and development of the Project, a survey will be carried out on the nurses and assistant who work in said area, taking into account that due to vacations, shifts or other issues, not all members of the area will be able to respond, and check sheet will also be applied, with the aim of promoting patient safety by providing comprehensive care. As for the theory on which the work is based, mention should be made of the theory of clinical nursing the model of the 14 needs of Virginia Henderson, since it has a point that has the purpose of avoiding harm, as in this case a fall and subsequent complications. And with respect to the data obtained, it is important to emphasize that the total number of patients in the hospitalization area during the observation period approximately thirty percent of them after applying the respective John Downton scale presented a high risk of suffering a fall being for that reason important the elaboration of the protocol and application of identification cards according to the afore mentioned risk.en
