Descripción : Objective: Evaluating in vitro the effect of dual resin cements and exclusive photopolymerization on the color of the restored teeth with translucent resin veneers. Materials and methods: 20 anterior, canine and premolar dental pieces were collected, which met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, on which veneers were made of 1 mm thick translucent resin. Then the measurement of the actual color of the tooth, the tooth with the veneer prior to cementation, was taken from the cemented veneer either with the light-curing cement “C1” or with the dual cement “C2”, and from this after the Thermocycling, which consisted of 14,400 cycles of temperatures of 5 grades C (20 s), 37 grades C (20 s) and 57 grades C (20 s), with a time span of 10 seconds between each temperature change. Results: The results were obtained from the comparisons of each color take by means of mean values and analysis of TU NOV p. Of the color change comparisons between the third and fourth measurements cemented veneer and after thermocycling were crucial where the mean change for was x. and for was x .65, In this case there was less color change for C2 after thermocycling and greater change for C1, with (p less 0.05) for C1. Conclusions: There was no change in color between the actual color of the tooth and the color with the veneer prior to cementation. There was a greater color change immediately after photopolymerization for dual cements and less for exclusive photopolymerization cements. But after the thermocycling process 1 year 4 months of restoration aging, there was a greater color change in the groups belonging to the photocuring system compared to the dual system.
