Descripción : This research is done through a comparative study to determine how it influences the use of a type of needle type in the sensation of pain at the time of performing the puncture analysis using the trunk technique. The process was carried out in the facilities of the University of the Americas at the Dental Clinic, where a group of 60 individuals between 18 and 55 years of age were employed, who attend a dental consultation that requires the placement of anesthesia in any The two lower hemiarcates by means of the direct truncal technique, for the said process two types of needles were used; The evolution of septoject and conventional. The data necessary for the study were collected through a one-dimensional pain scale. Proving that the pain for the subjects subjected to the study with the needle type A (conventional needle) was greater in comparison with the subjects of study that were submitted to the research with the needle type B (needle with the active part in the form of Scalpel ). In addition, it was shown that a greater degree of anxiety that a patient had as regards the dentist and the needles was greater the pain perceived the moment of submitting to the investigation.
