Descripción : The present project, has as a final purpose the development of an agroturistic circuit (Recorriendo el progreso/ Through progress) along the community of El Progreso, situated in the Pedro Vicente Maldonado área, province of Pichincha. As a main attraction of the experience, it has being taking into consideration, the daily rural life of the residents of this community, thus creating several complementary activities, that will allow the visitors to understand and participate in the everyday routine of the people whose main economic income, comes from the life working the field. In addition, to portrait the richness and natural diversity that this humid forest has to offer (flora, fauna, the privileged landscapes, etc.). For the development of the proposal, an exhaustive analysis of the following was made: the current territorial situation, Pedro Vicente Maldonados historical tourist demand, as well as, the creation of a logical framework, which sets out the objectives, activities, results and indicators needed in order to achieve the successful implementation of the project. For the investigation of the following document, multiple interviews with strategic key members were made , this interviews were vital for the continuity of the investigation process, as well as the revision of several technical and theoretical documents that allowed the normal development of the project. After analysing the necessary components for the feasibility of the proposal, it was determined that El Progreso is a destination with the potential to help grow this type of rural tourism, providing a national and international approach. Once this project has been implemented, the incomes of the members of the community will diversify along with the increasing participation of several members of the community (women and children) whom, have a minimal impact on the provision of economic resources to the household (Personal communication 03, september, 2016). Finally, the rural tourism will be introduced to this community.
