Descripción : Dental color varies among individuals, dentitions, age and genders; at the same time it is affected by intrinsic and extrinsic pigmentations. It is important for dentists and students to optimize aesthetic rehabilitation and treatment, which will directly affect their appearance. People with good looks, being the smile a very important parameter in the beauty of the face, are perceived greater intelligence and integrity. Objective: To establish the most predominant dental color in anterosuperior pieces in men and women from 18 to 25 years of age. Materials and methods: 350 people (200 women and 150 men) were randomly selected from 18 to 25 years of age. Of which age and gender were registered within a form, they were asked to smile and the tooth color was taken from canine to canine with two colorimeters (Vita Classic and VITA Bleachedguide 3D-MASTER). Results: It was observed that within the VITA Bleachedguide 3D-MASTER there was no color difference between men and women; on the other hand, with the Vita Classical guide, it was possible to establish a difference between men and women, with the women having lighter shades. There is a low percentage of the population evaluated with obscure colors present. Conclusions: According to the Vita Classical guide, dental color difference was established between genders presenting women with a lighter tooth color. On the other hand within the guide VITA Bleachedguide 3DMASTER no difference was found.
