Nowadays, in the field of dentistry, one of the most important factors is the adhesive dentistry and to carry out this process in the best way, it must go through a series of parameters that it must fulfill. One of the main instruments for adhesive dentistry is the halogen lamp light. A halogen lamp light must has an optical fiber in perfect conditions and a clean blue filter, in order to has the ideal conditions for proper operation. Furthermore, because of the professional interest, it is necessary to measure the intensity of the temperature. In this research, an analytical observational study was conducted in which 23 lamps used in the clinic and 15 in simulators used at the University of the Americas were analyzed using a radiometer to measure the intensity of light, a digital thermometer for temperature and visual analysis to determine the integrity of the optica lfiber. The general objective established was to examine the intensity of light, temperature and integrity of halogen lamps at Faculty of Dentistry of the University of the Americas and the specific objectives were to consider the damages that lamps halogen light have, identify the ranges of temperature produced by lamps halogen light during their use and analyze the intensity of the lamps. Using the Geogebra programm and the statistical sample data, we can determine the arithmetic mean in relation to the standard deviation of the sample obtained, in order to establish the range of intensity and temperature of halogen lamps light at the University of the Americas. As a result, we can observed that halogen lamps light are in very good condition for use. Their temperature are within the range established by investigators and only one of the 38 exceeds the limit temperature that leads into pulp death. For the output light of the lamps used at the clinic of University, the 26 percent of lamps are within the range proposed by the authors, 69 percent is above and 5 percent are below. While 56 percent of the lamps in simulators are within the range proposed by the authors, 44 percent is above the provisions and none of them is below. Finally, for the optical fiber, in the case of lamps used in the clinic, 15 of them (65 percent) show cracking or degradation in fiber, and the lamps used as simulators, the remaining 74 percent, it means 11 of them present cracking or degradation in fiber.en
