Descripción : Objective: Evaluate the feasibility of implementing an ambulatory primary care center. Design: Market research provide the basis of information collected by the quantitative and field technique research to establish scope and strategies of the center. The premises to be considered for the cash flow projection of the project are: the general inflation rate projected 2.02 percent, inflation at 4.24 percent health projected a population growth of 2.2 percent, the growth rate of economy of Ecuador 4 percent, the projected base salary for 2014 of $ 345.00, and the average weighted capital cost 12.71 percent. Background: The National Health System in Ecuador is composed of two sectors: public and private. The public sector provides services to 90 percent of the population, while the private sector provides services to 9.4 percent of the Ecuadorian population. Ecuador has 3,847 registered health agencies, distributed by 80 percent in the public sector and 20 percent in the private industry. The MSP provides the comprehensive care model in Family Health, Community and Intercultural (MAIS-FCI) as a strategic axis to compensate the demand of the population of Ecuador through the National Health System based on Primary Health Care renewed (PRCA) to integrate the three levels of care network of health services. Results: The ratio between incomes and outcomes updated with the discount rate (cost benefit) is of 3.89 which is to be favorable both as a project to investors and will deliver a surplus of $ 2.89 for every dollar invested by the end of the 5 year project estimates, making it viable from the financial standpoint besides diagnosing and treating risk factors of the most prevalent diseases, It decreases morbidity and mortality rates.
