dc.description | The study deals with the analysis of internal communication in Yachay E.P due to the absence of a planned and systematic management of internal communication processes. The aim of this work was the diagnosis of communication processes as a basis for developing a model of quality management in internal communication. As part of the theoretical development was considered the functional structuralist theory as a basis, issues related to the Quality Management System Communication and Process Management approach was also investigated. It was conducted a field investigation of projective type, with a qualitative and quantitative approach with a population composed of 325 staff (including Manager, Communications Director, administrative and service personnel, and staff communication area). Staff surveys, through structured questionnaires, were applied from several categories such as, communication process (considering the sender, the message, feedback and satisfaction of needs), channels, directionality, and internal communication tools. In addition, analyzes were made based on the seven principles of quality addressed in the theoretical foundation, while the theory and methodology of quality in communication processes used, contributing to this study an approach to the term "quality communication. " The results showed that internal communication is weakened, in part, by the absence of communication processes that allow its formal, controlled and measurable management, which has prevented to measure and improve quality in this area, since several of the quality principles are not being applied in internal communication.
