| dc.description | Guápulo sector has been throughout history an attractive of the city of Quito for its historical facts, nature, sense of community and culture. These reasons are not only striking for domestic tourists, but also for international who choose this place as a residence for an extended time visiting the country. Currently, there are no optimal locations that respond to this tourist need of extended time. The project responds to this problem and is complemented by the natural environment of the sector generating a dialogue between the built and native vegetation, under a concept of lodging in the landscape and laminar flow finding space between the vegetation to implant and point to the privileged views. The project contributes to the economy of the original inhabitants of Guápulo, creating work sources with previous professional training, so the original inhabitants managed the hotel for new inhabitants, improving social cohesion and interrelating the cultures of various nations in communal spaces. | en |
| dc.description.abstract | El sector de Guápulo, ha sido a lo largo de la historia un atractivo de la ciudad de Quito por sus hechos históricos, naturaleza, sentido de comunidad y cultura. Estas razones no son solo llamativas para los turistas nacionales, sino también para los internacionales que escogen este lugar como residencia por un tiempo extendido de visita en el país. En la actualidad, no existen lugares óptimos que respondan a esta necesidad turística de tiempo extendido. El proyecto responde a esta problemática y se complementa junto al ambiente natural del sector generando un diálogo entre lo construido y la vegetación nativa bajo un concepto de hospedaje en el paisaje y flujo laminar, que encuentra espacios entre la vegetación para Implantarse y apuntar hacia las privilegiadas vistas. El proyecto contribuye a la economía de los habitantes originarios de Guápulo, creando fuentes de trabajo con capacitaciones profesionales previas, de esta manera los habitantes originarios manejan el hotel para nuevos habitantes, mejorando así la cohesión social e interrelacionando las culturas de varias naciones en espacios comunales. | es_ES |
