dc.descriptionThe house Klein located at the corner of Cuenca Street and Santa Clara street, has a pleasant and cultural environment in the city of Quito, being surrounded by attractions and museums of great importance to the capital and the history of our country. The building is home to intervene to save a typology of colonial Quito itself, its construction methods are as old masonry bearing structure arise in which two additional floors, which are several rooms themselves around a central courtyard and a single access known as a zaguan. The house originally stood up two plants low and high, then a second floor extension generates a high in the back of the house, the building functioned as housing for several families simultaneously for a few decades, has now become warehouse that stores material from other buildings. The proposed intervention seeks to generate a valuable house a museum restaurant where the interior architecture plays an important role in creating pleasant spaces where the user feels at ease and enjoy the various activities that can develop within them, without affecting the structure original building and typology. The project takes as a design concept to Quiteñismo, by their relationship with the place, in addition to this concept it works with the pop art movement for popular effect that complements the project, it creates the contribution and support in colors and shapes marked, this approach works in three different levels, showing themselves willing environments as follows; in the ground floor is the gallery and museum on the second floor restaurant and finally on the third floor works the bar, all these separate environments seek a common relationship to form a single whole.en
dc.description.abstractLa casa Klein ubicada en la esquina de la calle Cuenca y Santa Clara, cuenta con un agradable y cultural entorno en la ciudad de Quito, al estar rodeado por lugares y museos de gran importancia para la capital y la historia de nuestro país. El inmueble a intervenir es una casa que guarda una tipología colonial propia de Quito, sus métodos de construcción antiguos tienen como estructura a mamposterías portantes en las que se levantan dos plantas adicionales, mismas que forman varias habitaciones entorno a un patio central y con un único acceso conocido como zaguán. La casa originalmente se levantó con dos plantas una baja y un alta, posteriormente una ampliación genera un segundo piso alto en la parte posterior de la casa, este inmueble funciono como vivienda de distintas familias simultáneamente por algunas décadas, en la actualidad ha pasado a ser bodega que almacena material de otras construcciones. La intervención propuesta, busca revalorizar la casa generando un museo restaurant donde la arquitectura interior juega un papel muy importante al crear espacios agradables donde el usuario se sienta a gusto y disfrute de las diversas actividades que se puede desarrollar en su interior, sin afectar la estructura original y tipología del inmueble. El proyecto lleva como concepto de diseño al Quiteñismo, por su relación con el lugar, adicionalmente se lo funciona con el movimiento por la incidencia popular, mismo que crea el aporte y sustento en colores y formas marcadas, esta propuesta funciona en tres niveles diferentes; en la planta baja funciona la galería y museo, en el segundo piso el restaurante y por último en el tercer piso funciona el bar, todos estos ambientes independientes buscan una relación común para formar un todo único.es_ES
