| Descripción : | This paper focuses on the analysis of the administrative and technical management of the Association of Producers Porvenir - Valle del Chota, peasant organization of small farmers engaged in the production and marketing of prickly pear fruit (Opuntia ficus). The main objective is to establish the improvement plan that allows maximize the management of the organization, oriented to improve production processes and marketing; the analyzes identify areas where action must be taken to achieve an improvement in both the productive part (crop yields) as well as on the business side (post-harvest and product quality), which will increase the income of the organization, and therefore the benefit for its members. According to secondary information research, concerning production techniques that increase crop yield and post-harvest processes that improve and maintain product quality, it has been determined that it is necessary for the organization to invest in technology to thereby increase the added value of their product. In addition, through the collection of primary information with the organizations directives and its partners, it has revealed the organizations weaknesses, and on that basis determine the area of intervention to establish the plan for improvement of the organization. |
