dc.descriptionAnxiety is characterized as an involuntary manifestation to damage or future situation, all by different life situations we face to feelings of fear, anguish that although they are important for human survival, it also limits us in other areas. From long ago, this same anxiety has been moved in dentistry level, both adults and children, predisposing when attending a specialist oral care, in some part for certain procedures that experience pain and after sometimes subjective experiences imposed. In dentistry , the behavior management is required by specialists , thus different non-pharmacological techniques have been popping up for distraction the child to a dental consultation in this regard and although many origine certain debates the habit of video games in children and teenager, have negative aspects between addiction and violence, In fact, it is recently created one positive awakening in pedagogy and teaching methods, for this reason the medical science does not escape this and has begun to implement in managing behaviors of infants, for this reason, this research which emphasizes the influence of video games to reduce the anxiety of children 6 to 10 years old , before and during dental care in the Faculty of Dentistry in the America Univesity is whose main objective is to establish the effectiveness of video games in reducing anxiety levels of patients, using a methodology based on an experimental randomized cross-sectional study , conducted by 80 children aged 6 to 10 years old, applying a direct observation survey and resulting proven the hypothesis that anxiety levels decreased by providing audio visual distraction in children to different emotional states.en
