Resumen : El objetivo general de este trabajo es proponer el hormigón pulido en residencias, comercios e industrias como terminado final de piso…
Descripción : The overall objective of this work is to propose polished concrete for residences, businesses and industries as a final finished floor. Specific objectives, we are going to describe the constructive process that has the concrete in residences, businesses and different types of industries; some of the characteristics of the final concrete floor process will be describe and discuss, and as final step, the whole process step by step it’s been detailed to achieve the polished concrete. In the developing work itself, it presents a brief history of concrete over the decades; continuing with the binding of steel with concrete (reinforced concrete), concrete components (cement aggregates and water). A brief explanation of beams, expansion joints and the development of building slabs and subfloors, its characteristics and properties. Finally a detailed explanation of the steps to reach polished concrete (cleaning, machine polishing with diamond discs of # 40 and 80, sealant application, polishing discs # 150,resin discs # 100, 200.400, 800 , 1500 and 3000, according to the requirement of the floor); which is the primary object of the work. The advantages of polished concrete are many, some of which are: quick and easy process, low costs, and with many options for maintenance or repair. The recommendations were made when making the construction of the reinforced concrete in slabs and subfloors, taking into consideration the use that will be given to the polished concrete, such as temperatures that will be exposed to, that the joints were made properly, the proper amount of water in the concrete, etc. This is some of the stage directions for a better-looking and good finished polished concrete floor.
