dc.descriptionGuápulo is an important parish of Quito, and so declared patrimonial zone; besides having cultural, residential, economical and touristic attractions. However, it is not excluded from having problems such as the lack of accessibility and mobility, the bad quality of public spaces, among others that have motivated migration of its inhabitants towards other places with better benefits. From the above mentioned, this project pretends to potentiate a section of the patrimonial spaces through the improvement and creation of new viewpoints and stairways; which generates the implementation of a network of alternative mobility, new links and connections are implemented between inhabitants and tourists, trade is promoted, new reference points and urban pauses; always taking advantage of the natural scene of the sector. The proposal also carries the increase of the inhabitant is economy, the resurgence of customs and traditions of the culture, the improvement of environment practices and the advance of social life. Guapulo is morphological study is of vital importance because it allows us to understand the existent outline, the infrastructure and the types of settlements and the callings that characterized each of the urban fractions. This way, we can determine the existing needs within. The outcome of this study is to present a proposal of axis of intervention that can allow the improvement of the development and growth of Guápulo; thus, creating potential in social, cultural, recreational, and residential aspects, among others, and eliminating the existing problematics in the area in question. In definitive, and as a conclusion we can appoint that we try, through a morphological study of Guápulo, establish a nexus between urban fractions and through vertical elements; the stairways, to recover lost public space, potentiate its strengths, improve social and cultural identity from its roots, and it will be a more attractive place to visit and promote city tourism; which will reinforce economic activation. In this way, it is pretended to also potentiate the Historical Patrimonial character, having as a base Guapulo is Church. We generate a network of comprehensive mobility, connecting different centralities through public spaces pedestrian, to improve the quality of life in public spaces used by inhabitants and visitors.en
dc.description.abstractGuápulo es una Parroquia importante de la Ciudad de Quito y declarada zona Patrimonial, además de poseer atractivos culturales, residenciales, económico y turístico. Sin embargo, no está excluida de problemáticas como la falta de accesibilidad y movilidad, la mala calidad de los espacios públicos entre otros que han motivado también la migración de sus habitantes hacia otros lugares con mejores prestaciones. Por lo mencionado anteriormente se pretende con este proyecto potencializar un tramo de los espacios patrimoniales a través del mejoramiento y creación de nuevos miradores y escalinatas; lo que genera la implementación de una red de movilidad alternativa, se establecen nuevos vínculos y conexiones entre habitantes y turistas, se promueve el crecimiento del comercio, se generan puntos de referencia y pausas urbanas; aprovechando siempre del paisaje natural existente en el sector. La propuesta adicionalmente conlleva el aumento de la economía de sus habitantes, el resurgimiento de las costumbres y tradiciones propias de su cultura, el mejoramiento de las prácticas ambientales y un avance en la vida social del sector. El estudio morfológico de Guápulo es de vital importancia, ya que nos permite entender el trazado existente, la infraestructura con la cuenta, los tipos de asentamientos y sus vocaciones que caracterizan a cada una de las fracciones urbanas y de esta manera determinar las necesidades existentes dentro de las mismas. La finalidad de este estudio es presentar una propuesta de ejes de intervención, los mismos que permitirán mejorar el desarrollo y crecimiento de Guápulo; creando potencialidades en los aspectos sociales, culturales, recreativos, residenciales entre otros, y así eliminar las problemáticas existentes dentro del área intervenida. En definitiva y como conclusión podemos señalar que se intenta a través del estudio morfológico del sector de Guápulo establecer una conexión entre fracciones urbanas a través de los elementos verticales; las escalinatas, recuperar el espacio público perdido, potencializar sus fortalezas, mejorar su infraestructura dotando de una Galería que no solo ayudará a los habitantes a mantener su identidad social y cultural desde sus orígenes, sino que será un atractivo más para visitar y promocionar el turismo de la ciudad, lo que refuerza la activación de la economía. De esta manera se pretende también potencializar el carácter Histórico Patrimonial, teniendo como la base la Iglesia de Guápulo. Se genera una red de movilidad integral, conectando las diferentes centralidades por medio de espacios públicos peatonales, con el fin de brindar calidad de vida en los espacios públicos utilizados por moradores y visitantes.es_ES
