dc.descriptionThis paper seeks to increase sales and profitability of Ambato company MASCORONA, born in 1966 and dedicated to the collection, processing and marketing wholesale of dry beans, through an improvement plan proposed by the author after an analysis of its both external and internal environment. As for the external environment (Industry, Economy, Politics, Technology), this analysis shows that the industry faces situations of political origin that are not favorable to it as the position that the country has regarding trade agreements and the appreciation of the dollar against Colombian Peso and the Peruvian Sol. Also, social considerations have been analyzed as the Ecuadorian gastronomic idiosyncrasies and its migratory movement: In the present study it was made an analysis of Porters five forces to determine the location of the industry. Finally, examination of the internal aspects of MASCORONA while confirming the hypothesis that it has been empirically managed, reflects that major changes in both its philosophy and organizational structure and its production and operations are needed. The processes on which the company relies for production reveal a bottleneck located in the chosen which prevents inter process a steady stream; in this regard, the plan proposes the implementation of a chosen band which will allow homogenize production in each process and thus will reduce the spent in labor in 40% and will reach production.en
