dc.descriptionKeeping with the globalized world and analyzing new trends for healthy and traditional food, final consumers have become more demanding of their eating habits. Moreover, thanks to the quick handling of information available online by the final consumers, offers a market opportunity to entry new products that meet new needs. Analyzing this longings and watching the benefits of meeting those needs it is decided to create Green To Go Cia. Ltda. This will be responsible to meet several unmet needs; starting by focusing on a market that has been found much underserved for several years, the market for Ecuadorian migrants in the United States. Furthermore, a need that has emerged due to globalization is the lack of time, which is caused by technology and information. Finally, one last need is attachment to consume organic food. Basically, thanks to these three needs, the idea to bring a bit of Ecuador to the United States by a national product but with added value arise The product to be exported is green plantain dough, with which Ecuadorians living in the United States would be able relate to their roots, save time and eat healthy food. The plant for the production of this product will be located in the city of Manta, because it is near to the providers of green plantain and it is near to the docks where the product is shipped. Within the first five years of the project, the city where all shipments are intended is the city of New York, because there exists a large number of Ecuadorian migrants in this area, furthermore this city is the biggest importer of Ecuadorian green plantain. It should be mentioned that the product is purely Ecuadorian and it tries to revive the roots of Ecuadorian migrants but Green To Go does not leave aside the sale for people who enjoy an healthy and gluten-free product. To carry out the implementation of this business, a total investment of USD 56,439.10will be required, which will be financed 50% by investors and the remaining 50% will be using debt. According to the financial statements projected to five years, this investment project has a net present value (NPV) of USD 58,000.30 and its internal rate of return (IRR) of 38.53%.en
