Resumen : Objetivo: El objetivo del presente estudio es poder observar y comparar el grado de microfiltración en premolares unirradiculares con postes de fibra de vidrio cementados con cementos de autograbado y grabado convencional…
Descripción : Objective: The objective of this study is to observe and compare the degree of microfiltration in single-rooted premolars with glass fiber posts cemented with conventional-engraving cement and self-engraving cement. Methods: 40 single-rooted premolars were used, with full root and crown, without curvature and without fissures. After the endodontic treatment done, the permanent filling of gutta-percha was removed from each piece and divided into 2 groups: Group 1 was cemented with RelyX U200, cement one step engraving and group 2, was cemented with Core Paste XP, cement conventional engraving. Samples were waterproofed with acrylic and in apexes was placed Ionoseal. Prepared samples were subjected to thermal cycling and at the end the samples were placed in methylene blue for 48 hours, to then be cut and observed under a stereomicroscope and thus determine the level of marginal leakage presented with each cement. Results: Quantitatively Group 1 obtained ranges between 40 percent and 60 percent of microfiltration, and Group 2 obtained ranges between 22.5 percent and 62.5 percent, and qualitatively Group 1, had a mild to moderate microfiltration and Group 2 had a zero to mild microfiltration. With Chi - square (p equal 0.00), which proves that there is independence between variables. With Mann–Whitney Group 1: Had an average of 0,800 and Group 2: Had an average of 0.463. Thus it is shown that the level of microfiltration was higher in Group 1. Conclusions: We can conclude that there was a lower level of microfiltration cemented with Core Paste XP, which bolts cemented with RelyX U200, and the leading cause bolts, is the type of acid etching and conditioning that was used for each cement.
