dc.description | Study the prevalent characteristic between gender and age, determine which side of the jaw, presents greater inclusion, consider whether increases with increasing age radiographic risks and compare with other studies the validity of panoramic radiographs as a diagnostic method today. This study evaluated the radiographic characteristics of risk present in the panoramic radiographs of patients who came to the department of surgery at the dental clinic of the University of the Americas. A sample of 42 panoramic radiographs with a total of 68 third molars in mesialangular position of patients in the age range of 20 to 30 years was collected. Radiographic evaluation for observation method was used with the help of a light box, to determine the extent of inclusion of pieces of digital king foot was used. It was ultimately determined that the most prevalent feature among the criteria Rood was the loss of the density of the upper cortical of the mandibular canal without finding any relation to gender and age also was observed that the parts for the right side had a greater inclusion pieces left. Could not find relationship with age and increased radiographic signs of risk. Panoramic radiographs of the study population show similar signs of risk prediction previous studies, so it can be used as a good predictor of radiographic risk. | en |
