Resumen : El presente proyecto de titulación analiza el portafolio de Sal y Mileto desde 1999 hasta el 2003, etapa donde se mantuvieron los integrantes originales…
Descripción : The present academic degree project analyzes the portfolio of Sal y Mileto since 1999 till 2003, phase in which they kept the original band members. During the process was found, through auditory recognition, the group most used musical resources that have been transmitted among musicians. Within these resources are found: harmonic, rhythmic, melodic and articulation similarities between songs and albums. For this analysis, the base instrumentation of the band (guitar, drums, bass and voice) were taken separately and very punctual were searched elements of the performance of each one, whereby was found a wide and detailed vision of the sound that like musicians, and therefore like a group, they created. To prove the veracity of the compiled information a process of identification of musicians and bands in the music environment has been made, to show that they have used Sal y Mileto like a sound reference and that have generated a starting point for the development of a characteristic musical language. The hypothesis of a language that is transmitted like part of a musical tendency in the rock history of Ecuador is proposed with this investigation. Performance has been the investigation line of this project, thus, with the compilation of all the information, a didactic concert which will include the most representative musical pieces of the investigation will be presented. The repertory of this can be appreciated in the annexes section at the end of this paper. Likewise, this investigation shows how the analyzed resources are part of a musical style clearly attached to the fusion of genres and how it is assimilated in several ways by the musicians or composers that have acquired this language, giving other musical contexts and implementing new resources that allow an evolution and a continuity of the rock libre ecuatoriano.
