dc.descriptionThe organizations of the health sector, be in the private or public area they have been characterized for having high indexes of rotation. The Hospital Metropolitano is not excluded from this reality, it is important to stress that in general the operative areas and direct patients attention are the most inclined to have this phenomenon. This investigation answers the need to identify what factors compromise the employees of the hospitality area, since there is perceived that this area has had a high job turnover in the last year. The sample in which the study is realized is in the hospitality area of the Hospital Metropolitano, integrated by 57 employees. In this area the collaborators are employed at rotary schedules 7 days of the week, 24 hours. The area mentioned is divided in four sub areas General Services, Hotel Administration, Laundry and Hospitality. The process corresponds to the measurement of the organizational commitment by using a mixed method, through the survey of Utrecht Work Engagement Scale UWES, the questionnaire has three highly related scales as vigor , dedication and absorption . And the application of a focus group with questions aligned to the variables identify in the UWES survey. And at the same time detect the rate of rotation that had the area over last year. The objective of the study was to identify the organizational commitment and the impact with the rotation. The investigation revealed that 49 percent of the population of hospitality had deserted their duties last year. And the rates of organizational commitment, such as vigor, dedication and absorption had a high average of 4.92 7, which is representatively higher. In conclusion the employees from the hospitality area, have a high average organizational commitment, variables such as dedication and vigor, which are a positive contribution to the hospital. While the absorption variable presents high rate with 4.77 7, this being value represent a weakness because employees are involved in their work with difficulty to separate their work from their personal life.en
dc.description.abstractLas organizaciones del sector de la salud, ya sea en ámbito privado o público se han caracterizado por tener altos índices de rotación. El Hospital Metropolitano no se encuentra excluido de esta realidad, es importante recalcar que por lo general las áreas operativas y de atención directa a pacientes son las más propensas a este fenómeno. Esta investigación responde a la necesidad de identificar qué factores compromete a los empleados del área de hotelería, ya que se percibe que esta área ha tenido una alta de rotación de personal en el último año. La muestra en la cual se realiza el estudio es en el área de hotelería del Hospital Metropolitano, conformada por 57 empleados. En esta área los colaboradores trabajan en horarios rotativos los 7 días de la semana, las 24 horas. Dicha área se divide en cuatro sub áreas que son Servicios Generales, Administración Hotelera, Lavandería y Hotelería. El proceso corresponde a la medición del compromiso organizacional mediante un método mixto, por medio de la encuesta de Utrecht Work Engagement Scale UWES, dicho cuestionario presenta tres escalas altamente relacionadas como el vigor, dedicación y absorción. Y la aplicación de un grupo focal, con preguntas alineadas a las variables que busca identificar en la encuesta UWES. Y a su vez se buscó detectar el índice de rotación que ha tenido el área el último año. El objetivo del estudio fue Identificar el compromiso organizacional y la incidencia con la rotación. La investigación revelo que el 49 por ciento de la población de hotelería había desertado de sus funciones el último año. Y los índices de compromiso organizacional, como son vigor, dedicación y absorción presentaban una media alta de 4.92 7, que es representativamente alto. En conclusión los colaboradores del área del hotelería, presentan un promedio alto de compromiso organizacional, en las variables vigor y dedicación, que es un aporte positivo para el hospital. A la vez la variable absorción se presenta alta con 4.77 7, siendo esto una debilidad ya que los empleados se encuentran envueltos por sus responsabilidades laborales, con dificultades de separar su trabajo de su vida personal.es_ES
